Agonite™ AC Grip Tape AUXETIC LATTICE TECHNOLOGY — PATENT PENDING

Every wrap grips. Ours grips back.

For athletes who feel the game through their hands, Agonite™ firms on contact instead of mushing out. Its auxetic core draws material toward the load, right where your hand meets your equipment.

The Science of Auxetic Grip

Traditional grip wraps spread and soften under load. Agonite™ uses an auxetic lattice structure that expands laterally when squeezed, increasing surface density, improving contact area, and reducing the force you need to maintain control.

Under lateral compression, the auxetic lattice densifies — increasing grip surface area automatically.

Most materials thin out when you squeeze them — that's the Poisson effect at work in an ordinary rubber grip or foam. Auxetic structures are built from a lattice of hinged cells that do the opposite: instead of collapsing inward, they rotate open, so the material gets denser and wider exactly where force is applied.

01 · Press
Force enters the grip

Your hand applies lateral compression during contact and control.

02 · Rotate
Hinged cells open

The auxetic lattice rotates instead of collapsing inward like ordinary foam.

03 · Connect
More surface engages

The grip widens and densifies precisely where pressure is applied.

Developed by Dr. Youssef in collaboration with university researchers, Agonite™ applies advanced auxetic material science to create a smarter, more responsive grip. Traditional rubber and foam grips spread, soften, and thin under pressure due to the Poisson effect. Agonite's engineered lattice does the opposite: its hinged cells rotate and densify under compression, allowing the material to expand laterally exactly where force is applied. This automatically increases surface density and contact area, helping you maintain better control with less gripping force.

The tighter your grip, the tighter the tape

The lattice opens as you squeeze, pulling the tape's surface taut against your palm instead of compressing away from it — so the harder you hold on, the more contact you get.
